This morning we had a tour of French Gastronomy in the neighborhood next to the Champs-de-Mars, a park that stretches from the foot of the Eiffel Tower. This was Paris’ 16th century market garden. We followed the Rue Cler Walk, stopping at 18 shops and stands. We visited all sorts of food stands and small shops. One had about 50 different olive oil flavors. There were cheese shops, butcher, olives, etc. We spent the morning tasting and buying things to take home. Then in the afternoon we walked along St. Germaine des Pres, looking at small shops and taking in the ambiance of Paris. Dianne and I sought out more Knights Templar sights as well.
